Hey there crafty friends! Welcome to another great day at Inspired by Stamping! Today, Kylie & Nupur have both created gorgeous boxes for our gift theme this week. They both had us swooning over these and we know you will be too.
But first, we would like to give a shout out to all our friends on our Facebook page. This morning we hit 3084 Likes! A huge thank you for all the support, comments and friendship! We love reading your comments and love seeing your designs with our stamps!
Our designer Kylie is first up with a lovely box creation featuring our Sweet Pea set and Vintage Tickets. We love her embossing on her box and the lovely strip of Spring Lilacs paper too. Here is Kylie sharing her gorgeous box with us.
Hi everyone, Kylie here. Today I have created a cute gift idea that is perfect for any occasion. I have concentrated on making something for Mother’s Day and have used the New Release items from IBS.
You can find the link for this tutorial over at my blog.
The image is from the gorgeous new ‘Sweet Peas’ set. This adorable image stamps beautifully and is so easy to colour (I have used Spectrum Noir pens). I die cut the image and backing with circle dies and popped them up with dimensionals. I have also incorporated the New Release set with a set from the last release just to show you how easy it is to combine these sets. I stamped the Vintage Tickets and fussy cut them out. With one of them, I used a marker directly onto the stamp just to get the outline of the ticket. For this one I actually combined two stamps from the “Happy Mother’s Day” set. I used my marker to just ink up ‘To my wonderful’ and then stamped ‘Mum’ beneath it to create a different sentiment.
Don’t forget that you can do that with ANY of your sentiment stamps from IBS to create personalised messages.
Here is the Gift Box in the open position –
This Gift Box has two sections – one to hold your Gift Card and another to pop in a small gift of chocolates or earring etc.
The section to hold the Gift Card which was created by folding that panel in half and then using the Fancy Label Dies 2 to create the ‘holder’ and then the entire panel was adhered to the inside of the box.
Below you can see that I have used Seam Binding Ribbon along the edge of the box.
Here is a close up of the top – the small panel of card that you see is from the Spring Lilacs Paper Pad.
Thanks so much for looking today. I hope I have inspired you to create a Gift Card holder for your Mum for Mother’s Day. Don’t forget, this is perfect for ANY occasion!

Mother’s day is coming… have you thought about what you will be gifting her?
Mothers are special & so they deserve something really special…
My mom is also into arts & crafts & she has always been my inspiration…& so I always like to gift her something I create… I feel that handmade gifts have that love & personal touch which makes them extra special…
This time I have made a decorated mdf box for her… I have used some bright spring colors for this box…
I took a square mdf box & painted it with 2 coats of black acrylic color… after the paint dried I cut out & adhered the pattern papers on all sided & the lid with mod podge & let it dry… next I applied 2 coats of mod podge to seal in the papers & make it waterproof…
Now comes the fun part of decorating it…
I started with a paragraph sentiment from Mother’s Day Bouquet & stamped it on an inked die cut…
This stamp set has some great sentiments & quotes perfect for moms…& it also has a beautiful bouquet stamp…
I adhered the sentiment die cut on foam dots & added 2 heart rhinestones for some bling….
& then I arranged some flowers & flourishes on the top corner & added some pearls…
Thank you for stopping by…
