Now it is time for our talented designer Rebecca to share a beautiful shabby chic card with us featuring our New Mother’s Day Bouquet set. Rebecca’s coloring is just beautiful and the gorgeous frame fits perfectly with this set. We love how she embossed on vellum and added little flowers next to the sentiment. Here’s Rebecca sharing her card with us.
“Hello there~ It’s Rebecca here. This week, Inspired By Stamping is releasing a beautiful new collection of stamps and I’ve chosen the gorgeous floral image from the ‘Mother’s Day Bouquet‘ set, to create this card…
The bouquet was stamped with a permanent ink and then colored with alcohol markers. Very much like fussy cutting, I find coloring very soothing and relaxing . It’s really just the grown up version of crayon coloring!…
This stamped image is so delightful. I’m thinking about a watercolored version and a monochromatic one! The sentiment is one of many in this set and was embossed with gold onto a strip of vellum. The tails were folded and snipped into swallow tails. The ends of the banner were adhered to the card, while the center floats above the surface of the card. I used a die cut frame that was treated to a few layers of embossing powders to showcase this bouquet. While I don’t think it shows very well in these photos, I created a striated background paper by dragging an alcohol marker over the surface of some card stock. I let the lines and variations remain.
I hope you enjoy this beautiful stamp set as much as I am!
Thanks for joining me and hop on over to Inspired By Stamping for the rest of this month’s release!
Sending you ((hugs)) and blessings,

What a beautiful Mother’s Day gift for her Mom! The details are amazing and the colors are so bright and cheery! We know you will ooh and ahh over this lovely project! Here is Mynnette!
Hi, friends! I’m so excited to get to share with you a creation made using some of our BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW stamps from the Inspired By Stamping store! In honor of Worldwide Craft Month, we’re focusing on different paper crafts each week this month and this week we’re sharing Mother’s Day creations and/or 3D projects. I’ve got both in one special project to share with you today!
My mom likes to receive my handmade cards so this year I’ve taken things a bit further and made a mini album inside a coordinating box! I’m gonna brag a bit here, too, and tell you that my mother was named Kansas Mother of the Year and so this year is also extra special because of that! I hope she’ll like this special gift made just for her!
I started by decorating the top of the box with some patterned papers, punches, pearls, seam binding ribbon, and a sentiment from one of our newest sets called Mother’s Day Bouquet. It is FULL of amazing sentiments and I’ve used about all of them in this album, as you’ll see!
Next, I moved onto the album cover. I kept my layout similar to the box top to keep things matchy-matchy and added another fabulous sentiment from the Mother’s Day Bouquet set. The album is kept closed by some hand dies seam binding and I used the same pearls throughout this project as well.
Here’s the book open with ribbon untied. There are three sets of coordinating pages that I created. Each page has stamps from the Mother’s Day Bouquet set or the new Everyday Greetings set. SO many fabulous sentiments to choose from!
The first set of pages are a bit brighter than the covers. The yellow reminds me of my mom–she’s always cheerful and happy! She makes me a better person and so that’s why I chose the quote from the Mother’s Day Bouquet set as my “introduction” to the book if you will. I haven’t added in the pictures that will be in my mini album because I still have to decide which ones to use!
The next set of pages features the gorgeous bouquet image from the Mother’s Day Bouquet set and a sentiment from the Everyday Greetings set. I thought this sentiment was perfect for Mother’s Day–I am extremely grateful for my parents and for everything my mom did for me and still does for me each day.
The final pages use two more sentiment from my OBVIOUS newest favorite–you guessed it–Mother’s Day Bouquet set! Can’t you just see the possibilities with all these amazing sentiments?! Such a fabulously versatile set!
That’s all for me today! I hope you’ve been inspired by this project and that you’ll take some time to create today! If you haven’t heard, there’s a sale on all floral stamp sets at the IBS store AND you get a free stamp set for every $50 you purchase!
