Happy Monday! I know, we all have Monday blues. But, Nicole is here to the rescue! Do you see the ! card above? Something looks news or different? You guessed right! This card features a HOT stamp set that is coming out next week along with amazing products by IBS. This is called Sweet Peas Stamp Set and is filled with these wonderful image and different sentiments. There is also a smaller version that is perfect for gift tags or smaller cards to fit your needs.
For today’s card, I used some distress markers. I wanted to create a soft look using some pink and purple colors. You can color along the outline and blend it using a watercolor brush or an aqua paint brush.
One more tip – If you want to pop out an image, give it some shadow. I took a marker to go around the bottom area of the image and blended it to give a subtle shading. I think this really makes a different. Make sure to keep this technique in mind when creating projects!
What do you think about this sentiment? I love the elegant look of the sentiment with two different font styles. I simply embossed the stamp set using some white embossing powder.
I hope you enjoyed the card! Make sure to watch the video below to see the process in action. Thank you for stopping by!
Next up is me! I couldn’t wait to get stamping with the new sets this month! As you can see above with a few sneak peeks that there are a few more sets to introduce later this week and a lot more coloring to do too!
Coloring these flowers has been so much fun the last few days. The designers have done an amazing job coloring them too! It is definitely time to get out our copic or spectrum noir markers this week! I found myself while coloring thinking about all the color combinations that you could use with these three flowers!
After coloring, I cut out the flowers using a couple of Spellbinder dies. I then distressed the edges and popped them up on dimensionals.
For the sentiment, I fussy cut the Vintage Banners stamp set and also used a sentiment from the New Mother’s Day Bouquet stamp set that will be featured on Thurs & Friday. I then added some ribbon, a bow and a few pearls to add some extra glam to my card.
We hope that you are as excited about the new sets as we are and have enjoyed today’s inspirations! Don’t forget to leave a comment this week for a chance to win this great stamp set!
