We are so excited about Irit’s folded card filled with lovely details. Isn’t the pearls just gorgeous with the red cardstock?! Here’s Irit sharing her card with us today.
“It was quite a long time since I made a shaped card. I don’t really like them as some of those shapes don’t fit any ” normal” envelope. But then why not? It’s not so different from the regular shapes when it’s just a fancy huge die cut label fold into half.
Actually there are 4 die cuts over one single card. And then I added one great sentiment and this card was done. Kind of done.
This Inspired by Stamping sentiment is so right and so perfect for anyone!
But then I had to add some embellishments too as I can’t leave the card so clean and simple. So I stamped a trendy globe and a hand with Vintage findings IBS set and cut them out ; die cut those very trendy feathers, added some pearls and hearts and a die cut word Life and now this was just perfect.
Next, we have a beautiful card by Rebecca featuring our Spring Lilacs Paper and coordinating stamp set. The greens and purples together just make this card stand out. We love her beautiful button trim & extra large bow on the top! Here is Rebecca…
I began with the stamped lilac bough image, coloring it with alcohol inks, then fussy cutting the image…
The patterned papers all coordinate, so I created a background using three different sheets, layering some old vellum rescued from a book jacket to add some age. One of the background panels has a punched edge. My old button jar yielded up some buttons that just needed to be stitched onto this card…
These lilacs were laid onto a stamped postcard design, cut into a tag shape, just because it made my vintage heart happy…
The bottom edge of the postcard is trimmed with a velvet trim and then some half pearls and some lilac satin finished dots…
You know how I love to mix shades of a single color, so this bow was made of a red violet and a bluer violet shade of hand dyed seam binding. A button was stitched over the center and a tiny tag was tucked into the bow.
Thanks so much for visiting and thank you for your very kind and generous comments~ They warm my heart!
