First up is our talented designer, Vicki! Did you check out her beautiful card in our newsletter this weekend? Click Here to see it now! We adore her style and loved reading her answers! Today, she has created a lovely gift card box set. Her beautiful coloring tis outstanding and the purple throughout makes the flowers sparkle & shine! Here is Vicki sharing her gift set with us!

Hi all – its Vicki here with a gift card set that works perfectly for a co-worker or a small hostess gift.

Inspired by Stamping, Vicki Dutcher, Elegant Flowers Stamp Set, Happy Occasions Sentiments, Gift Card Box Set

I have 4 cards [with envelopes] and a box to hold them in.  I used Big Wishes II for the box lid, and for the cards I used Happy Occasions sentiments.  My rose is from Elegant Flowers . I used Background Basics III for the lid background, along with Little Flowers.  Using a large dauber, I sponged on purple ink.

The trick with decorating the box lid is to have a separate base panel, decorate it, THEN adhere it to the top of your box lid.

I hope the next time you need a quick gift, you consider making a set of cards.

See you at the end of the month~

Next up is Calypso! Calypso, once again wows us with her Pirates card! Have you checked out her other Pirates cards? CLICK HERE & CLICK HERE for two beautiful cards she has featured in the past. We are so excited to share this gorgeous card today with you too! Take it away, Calypso!

“Calypso here and I am sharing a card using my FAVORITE stamp from IBS!!! (Pirates)  Don’t get me wrong, they are ALL my favorites, but I have created some pretty awesome boy/masculine cards with this set and I happy to see it be this weeks Blog Candy giveaway too!!  I already had a card in the works for my post today, but I had to change it all up last minute when I found out that it was Joanna’s sons birthday this weekend.  Happy Birthday!!!  So in his honor, I made a birthday card just for him.

Inspired by Stamping, Calypso Bastian, Pirates Stamp Set, Background Basics IV Stamp Set, Boy Card, Masculine Card

To create the shaker helm,  cut out about 10 pieces of the helm and layers 7 of them together.  Lay your piece of acetate (transparency) sheet and then the 3 remaining sets. Stamp the image on patterned paper and make marks on the paper and make placement marks, so you apply the adhesive, you know exactly where the patterned paper goes.  Reason  why I layer my cardstock instead of using dimensional tape?  I find that when I use the dimensional tape, I tend to leave gaps, which allow the beads to escape.  Layering the cardstock may be a little more work; however, the results are well worth it.  After the assemble, I sponged distress ink around the entire helm and randomly stamped the rope border image from Background Basics IV.

Here is close up of the shaker card.  I also used the flag from the Pirates set and stamped it muslin fabric, cut it out and wrapped around a toothpick!!  🙂 ~ Calypso”

Love the stamps. The ship stamp is just awesome. It is so hard to find nice masculine stamps. Father’s Day is creeping up. You also have one of the best design teams. I get a great deal of inspiration from them.
