Don’t you just love a pretty handmade card?! They are so much fun to create and definitely a joy to receive! Today we have some beautiful ideas from Rebecca and Calypso! Rebecca is featuring a lovely winter birthday card and Calypso is featuring an ornament card.
We begin by giving a shout to all our friends and fans who continually support us! Thank you so much! We appreciate you joining us in our challenges and the kind words that you leave us on our Facebook page! Here’s a beautiful card that one of our friends, Lindsay Ettlinger, created for the IBSI Challenge! She used our Fancy Labels 2 Die and Vintage Pieces stamp set! This card just has us swooning!
First up is Calypso sharing with us a gorgeous ornament card featuring our Holiday Tags and Holiday Sentiments stamp sets. She has created such gorgeous ornaments and embossed the sentiments. Here is Calypso share a few words with us about her card.
Hi everyone!!! Calypso here today, featuring my ornament card with you. I love sentiments!! A card is never complete without one. Many of the Inspired by Stamping stamp sets, have small sentiments and if you have a healthy collection of stamps, then you know that, the smaller stamps seem to get lost or forgotten about. Well my card today is showing you a way to use those smaller sentiments, to dress up pre-bought die cut embellishment. The two ornaments on my card, were from an embellishment pack that coordinates with the patterned paper on my card. These ornaments had a 2-layers flower on it, when it came in the package. I gently removed the flower , being careful not to tear the paper. After picking the sentiments, I stamped/embossed with gold embossing powder. After they cooled down, I cut them into strips, adhered them to the die cut and trimmed the edges. I added dimensional pearls around the top and bottom of the strip to add a tad bit of interest. I did not want it to look ‘flat’!
Here is a close up.
Next up is the talented Rebecca featuring our Flowers Blooms stamp set. She created a lovely winter birthday card filled with shabby goodness throughout. Here’s Rebecca in her words sharing today’s card.
“Hi everyone~ Rebecca here for Inspired by Stamping, with a card I’ve created for someone with a winter birthday. This season has so many gorgeous visual images to choose from and as a card maker, I love being able to draw on them for a very personal birthday card. I used a stamp from the IBS ‘Flowers Bloom‘ set, which I reach for frequently! It is heat embossed with pewter powder.
