Are you ready for some Monday inspirations! This month the Inspired by Stamping design team will be sharing their projects here everyday from Monday – Friday. Our first artist is the very talented Grace Tolman. You will love the beautiful layout that she is sharing below. I also have a Vintage Pieces card to share! It is everything shabby and chic with this card. Plus, we are introducing our weekly blog candy below! No Monday blues here this week as we start off with a great week of inspiration and fun!
We begin this week with featuring our talented designer, Grace Tolman. She created this gorgeous scrapbook page using our Big Wishes II stamp set and IBS flowers throughout. Grace is an amazing artist show mixes and matches colors to perfection with just the right amount of balance. Here’s Grace sharing how she created her scrapbook layout.
One of my favorite things about stamps is how we can use them as is, or alter them a bit to make them fit better with our project. Since this layout is not about “birthdays”, I used the phrases that denoted love. I also used the phrase “today and always” from the “best wishes” stamp. This just shows us that we definitely get more mileage from our tools, just with a few snips here and there.
Today, I am sharing this shabby chic card today featuring our Vintage Pieces stamp set and our Vintage Digital Paper. But first a little something from me… Over the last few months Inspired by Stamping has experience some huge growth in our business and with that comes change. In 2014, we will be introducing to you a new range of products and stamps. We believe that to get the full benefit and inspiration from Inspired by Stamping and because I need help, we have asked our designers to start sharing some of their designs on our blog Monday – Friday. I will still be posting with them just as frequently as before. With the changes that have occurred this month, we have also had two designers step down, Colleen Dietrich and Shea Marshall. Over the next few months, we will be looking for 3 new designers to join us. I thank you our viewers for all the amazing support throughout the last few years. The crafting world has helped me through some very hard times in my personal life and has also helped me grow as a business woman and now an owner of an international company. I am looking forward to sharing with you the experience and meeting you over the next few years! Yes, we will be travelling! I am so excited about these changes and I believe that these will be for the best for us all.
Our Vintage Pieces stamp set pairs up perfectly with our Vintage Digital Paper giving this card a beautiful shabby chic feel to it.
To create a more vintage feel, I daubbed the edges with some kraft ink and used my fingernail to rough up the edges a bit. I love stitching around the edges of my cards and used two different stitches today. I always use the smaller stitches because it makes the card look a bit more delicate.
I added this pretty crochet trim that I have in my stash and added two extra large pearls in the corner. Colonial Rose Satin Ribbon was added and then I made a double bow for the corner.
Thanks for visiting us today! We hope you have enjoyed the inspiration.
