Inspired by Stamping Stars - Holiday Sentiments

My 1st Christmas Project are these two star boxes that I created featuring the Holiday Sentiments stamp set. (Each star box template was purchased from the Silhouette store.) Just a little note, I also scaled down this template so that it would fit 6×6 size Christmas pattern paper for the top and bottom of my star. The base was cut using Off White Card Stock.

After gluing my box together, I then added our Victorian Crochet Trim around the edges. I was so excited to see that this sentiment from Holiday Sentiments fits perfectly inside our cut files from our Holiday Tags! After stamping the sentiment, I then distressed and glued glitter around the edges.

I then took our IBS Red and White Flowers and dusted glitter on each one. The larger flower contains glitter snow that I bought years ago at Hobby Lobby. I also put some glitter snow around the edges of my star box.

This is a different star box template that I purchased. I also used 6×6 Christmas Paper. I adhered IBS Roses and a red flower to the top and also sprinkled glitter around the edges for some sparkle.

Inspired by Stamping Christmas Birdcage - Holiday Sentiments

Do you remember this bird cage? I created a simple banner for it with our Creative Tags a few months ago. Click Here for details. Well I thought it needed a makeover and why not glam it up for Christmas!

Each element again is from the Silhouette store. I LOVE cutting out rolled flowers. I made these ones extra large! After rolling them, I then sprinkled glitter along the edges hoping for the effect of snow on each rose petal. I then created a rosette, distressed & glittered the bird and cut out some leaves for the background.

After cutting my snowflakes and distressing each one, I basically bathed them in glue and then placed them in a container of glitter. After the snowflakes dried, I did the same thing again, making sure that every inch of the snowflake was covered. I then added rhinestones to the tips and the center of the snowflakes.

A few months ago our talented designer Kendra had a great tutorial on threading ribbon throughout our Crochet trim. Click Here to see the tutorial.

Did you know that you can make our cut files larger? This tag is actually from our Holiday Tags (more information on this set tomorrow) cut files which I made larger to fit this extra large Merry Christmas sentiment. I then distressed it and added more glitter around the edges. I then tied a quadruple bow, click here to learn how and placed a white button to the center.

Inspired by Stamping Holiday Sentiments Stamp Set - Christmas Jar

My last project is this apothecary jar that I decorated for Christmas. I found it at the cheap shop last week and just swooned! I hope they have a few other ones, as I would love to make a trio of these for Christmas! If I find them, I will let you know. Smile  I am going to put this in our kitchen with Christmas candy in it when it becomes available at the store.

Inspired by Stamping Christmas Flowers - Vase

I first cut a strip of burlap/heshan and adhered it to the glass. (I used Tiger Glue for this project) After it dried in place, I added some Victorian Crochet trim on top of the burlap. I then added lots of various flowers. You can purchase the red and off white flowers from the store.

Again, I enlarged our Holiday Tags cut files to fit this sentiment from the Holiday Sentiments stamp set. I also distressed and glittered around the edges for a more shabby chic appearance. I then tied a bow using Victorian Crochet Trim and glued a red bow to the center of my ribbon.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s projects and ideas. A few days ago, I posted a photo on Facebook about having glitter everywhere! I think you can see why now. LOL!
