Welcome Crafty Friends to Day 2 of our July Release Countdown! Today we are sharing 2 new stamp sets which are Octagons and Arrows! 2 of my new favorite stamp sets! To say that I had fun creating with these sets is probably in understatement as you will see. 🙂
For my first project today, I wanted to create a project that really showed how these octagons shapes can shine on their own and this CAS card does just that!
I randomly stamped the octagon shapes on opposing corners of my white cardstock front using 4 vibrant and different colors. I then added a pleated row of ribbon with a 4 layered bow and button.
I added this pretty sentiment from our Trendy Circle Sentiments using Black Memento ink.
My next project features my favorite stamp sets, Fancy Labels 2 and Fancy Circles with the new Octagons set.
With this new set comes our free cut files for the Silhouette or any other cutting machine as shown in this photo. I then stamped each octagon with coordinating inks that matched my patterned paper.
After adhering the octagon shapes to the ribbon with a little piece of adhesive, I ran the sewing machine over all edges of my card front.
Introducing Octagons Cover Plate for your Silhouette or cutting machine! Size 4” x 5.25”. Perfect to fit on top of all your cards. Here are some examples using our new cover plate!
For this card, Happy Occasions was paired up with the Octagons set! Click Here if you missed yesterday’s post featuring this set! I didn’t use the entire cover plate as shown above and trimmed off the excess with my scissors.
Here’s a great close up of the cover plate and all the different patterns that this set comes with! There are a dozen different patterns with this set to choose from!
Creative Tags fit perfectly under my blue seam binding bow. 🙂
Here’s a card using the Octagons Cover Plate! With this card, I randomly added octagons in varying patterns using soft romantic colors.
I also used our new Arrows set and Vintage Banners set (this will be featured tomorrow)!
Here’s a great close up of the octagon front cover and octagon patterns that come with this set!
For my finishing touches, I added some hemp twine and also a little bow!
Remember this card?? I shared it a few days ago for our WHW Tutorial on how to make this frame. Click Here for all the details!
This arrow and sentiment is from the new Arrows set! For us shabby girls, I designed this arrow stamp with a vintage twist and distressed it! On each corner of my card, I sewed on some washi tape from our Washi Tape Stamp Set.
After creating my frame, I added this Vintage Banner stamp set (come back tomorrow to see this set featured) and a Love Heart from our Hearts set.
I just had to create this Shabby and Chic CAS card featuring the shabby arrow and Vintage Banner sets! Two great sets that create a vintage feel!
Banners are so on trend at the moment and when I designed this set I wanted a classic feel and look. It pairs up so nicely with the “friends forever” sentiment from the Arrows Set.
I grabbed some scrap paper and a doily for my base. I then added Cream Crochet Trim on top. Three flowers from the store was added at the top. I then lifted my arrow with foam dimensionals which points to my “friends forever” banner.
For my next card using the Arrow set, I grabbed two of our smaller arrows and the “love” sentiment.
Vintage Crochet trim creates such a beautiful border along the bottom of my card. I also added this perfect bow with a little yellow button.
I cut out this Polaroid shape from my Silhouette. This great frame that the arrows rest on is from Birthday Wishes stamp set. No need to fussy cut this frame as it is available as a free download cut file.
My last card today is all about this Arrow stamp set! I also matched it up with our Everyday Tabs (featured tomorrow) and Little Phrases II.
To start this card, I randomly stamped arrow shapes on some white cardstock. After cutting out two different border shapes along the bottom, I sewed on top of them.
To finish my card, I added a strip of ribbon and then glued on a black button, a bow and added a pink flower.
