Inspired by Stamping Background Basics, Buttefly Wings

My first card today is this soft, feminine thinking of you or sympathy card. I used the Background Basics II, Big Hope and Butterfly Wings stamp sets.

Inspired by Stamping Butterfly Wings

I started out creating some background paper using the Background Basics II sets. Each stamp in this set can be used as a strip or can be aligned to create one large background paper. Today, you can see both the hounds tooth and chevron stamps from this set.

Inspired by Stamping Big Hope

I placed the “Praying for you” sentiment from the Big Hope stamp set with this butterfly from our Butterfly Wings set on top of my card. I then added some IBS crochet tape and IBS satin ribbon.

My 2nd card today features again the Background Basics II set. This time I stamped it in grey 2x’s for this larger background image!

I then added an IBS satin ribbon and some IBS flowers.

I attached a tag from our Creative Tags set with the “G’day” sentiment from the Little Phrases Set.

Inspired by Stamping Fancy Labels 18, Background Basics II

My 3rd card is this lovely CAS thinking of you card. I stamped different patterns from the Background Basics II set and then cut it out to make this cute banner.

This frame is from our Labels 18 stamp set and the sentiment can be found in our Big Treasures set. They are pair up beautifully!

For a little extra something, I added a row of flowers to create this border.

Inspired by Stamping Background Basics II, Small Fancy Labels 2

Lots of pretty backgrounds in my next card using both Background sets and our new Small Fancy Labels 2 set. To create this patterned paper, I stamped two different patterns and then cut the paper to fit my cardstock. I love how the stamps are long enough to fit the front of a card!

I stamped the polka dots in orange and made it into a banner shape. I then glued some hemp twine along the top and bottom of my paper. My sentiment is one of 7 new ones from the Small Fancy Labels 2 stamp set!

Inspired by Stamping Background Basics II, Creative Tags, IBS Ribbon

Can you tell I have had so much fun with this set?? I honestly think the possibilities are endless! For my last card, I paired the Background Basics II this time with the Creative Tags set.

Inspired by Stamping - Joanna Munster (2)

I rolled my flower from one of the many rolled flowers you can purchase from the Silhouette store and added some punched out leaves. I always cut out an entire 12 x 12 size paper of rolled roses and then store the extras in a clear cellophane bag for later use.

I crimped my Kraft paper (I don’t think I’ve done that in 10 years )and then punched out a flower shape for my flower to sit upon. A perfect bow was placed near the tag using some IBS satin ribbon.

I hope you have enjoyed all my cards today using our Background Basics II and Big Hope plus a few other IBS goodies.

Talk about versatile – your background sets are awesome!! And as always I’m inspired to try new and different techniques after seeing your cards, i.e. the crimped base for the rose/bow arrangement, the background made into a banner, etc. Always love what you do!
