Inspired by Stamping Washi Tape

Hello stamping friends! How are you this beautiful Thursday? Today in Australia is Anzac Day. Anzac Day is very similar to Veteran’s Day. A time to remember. It is also a public holiday. So I’m off to take the kids to the lagoon and of course ice cream afterwards. Smile

I’ve been in the craft room this week getting ready for our May release. The splitcoaststampers color challenge caught my eye today with the colors River Rock, Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze. I love the uniqueness of these colors together and created this CAS masculine card.

I used three IBS stamp sets today which are Ahoy, Matey!, Big Wishes and Washi Tape sets. Our Washi Tape Blog Hop is in full swing. Click Here for details! I stamped the Washi Tape in all three colors in the challenge.

I then lightly stamped the writing and then stamped the anchor over it. Both of these are from our Ahoy, Matey! set. “Happy Birthday” can be found in the Big Wishes Stamp Set.

Personal Note:

Tess and I were doing the dinner dishes yesterday and on the floor near the sink was this teeny tiny baby gecko. We very carefully relocated it outside in a palm tree. It was so small.

Hi Joanna, I’m seeing the many possibilities of Washi tape stamps! Also, I really enjoy learning of your Australian traditions and seeing pictures of your surroundings…. even those critters! I recently read Rick Springfield’s memoirs and, though racy (!), he painted a very interesting portrait of Australia. Keep inspiring us in so many ways!
