Hello crafty friends! It’s Whoo Hoo Wednesday and Debbie M. has a great tutorial for you! Enjoy! Joanna

‘Friends Forever’ by: Debbie Marcinkiewicz

Today I’m going to show you how to embellish a pretty flower with ribbons in order to make it the showpiece of your creation and a real ‘show stopper’!

First start with your supplies … for my card, I used two different patterned papers, a beautiful paper bloom from the Inspired by Stamping Shop, pink & green taffeta ribbons, a snippet of vintage lace trim, pearls and leaves die cut from newsprint patterned paper.

I cut the taffeta ribbons in 3” lengths, folded them in half and adhered them to the back of the paper flower all the way around in a circle. So pretty!!

After adding the rest of the embellishments, I finished my card by stamping a lovely sentiment using the Big Notes II set from Inspired by Stamping.

Thanks so much for allowing me to share this quick and easy tutorial with you!

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing this technique! Won’t the newsprint discolor the flower, however? I know that newspaper changes color over time. I will be trying this on my next card! Thanks for the info!
