TRENDY TREES, UPSY DAISY, INSPIRED BY STAMPIN' Hello blog friends and happy Wednesday! Oh this week has gone super fast for me. My two daughters are in ballet and we have their dance recital on Saturday! I am the new taxi Mom running them around this week. I have four hours of rehearsals this afternoon. Busy, Busy, Busy. I will take lots of photos. Smile

I also have posts for the rest of the week for you all! I wish I had time to give you sweet peaks from the new SU! catalog but I must look at this beautiful box of goodies on the floor till next week.

Please leave me a comment or email. I love getting comments and hearing what you think about my cards. It might take me a few days to write back but please know that I did read them.

Have a wonderful day! Keep smiling!

TRENDY TREES, UPSY DAISY, INSPIRED BY STAMPIN' How do you start a card? Me, I always start with my color coach. Today, I chose Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla.  I always put together the card first  and then look through my stamps to see what style stamp will fit my card. Today, I dusted off my Trendy Trees stamp set that I just converted to clear mount. I used it also for the background paper. Click Here for the how to video for this perfect simple bow. Don’t forget to use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for the trees. It will save heaps of time. I then daubed the grass using Pear Pizzazz ink.

TRENDY TREES, UPSY DAISY, INSPIRED BY STAMPIN' “you’re on my mind” sentiment can be found in the Upsy Daisy stamp set which I stamped in chocolate chip. I used some of the retired Springtime Vintage Designer Series paper and Sweet Pea DSP again.

Funny how our minds work. I usually start with a stamp first…lol I will have to try your technique as your cards are always beautiful! Have a wonderful week with your daughters!

Hey Joanna! Funny you mention the colour coach…I am a monochromatic type……so I was thinking I need to get the colour coach to help me mix up the colours. Nice combo of paper and stamps!

My favorite colors are pink, green and ivory so you hit the nail on the head with this one. I love the sweet pea designer paper. Have fun with your daughters.

    Joanna,
Love the patterned paper you always use. When I look through the SU catalog, the pictures are so tiny that I can’t get an idea of what the paper really looks like, so I pass on buying the pack. Do you buy patterned paper other than SU and if so, what manufacturer do you like best?

    Hi Joanna,
Love your card! I am in the process of making one with the same colors for a wedding. I should have it posted this week for Mojo Monday challenge. I almost always start my card with an idea in my head that has gone to colors and stamp set. Then I will make it. It may take weeks to get to that point, My mind just goes 24/7. It is hard to shut it off because I have so many ideas! Love the inspiration I grt from your site!
    Thanks, Joan!!!

{gasp!} I love this card! Actually I start my card with my stamp set! I pull the dsp and card stock inspired from what I think the stamp should look smart with, or if it’s for a friend I would use their favorite colors incorporated in the card. I measure my stamp so I know my layers for it and the rest just happens! I love a layered card and you are one of my most inspired SU Sisters! Thank you for your daily post and video tutorials! Patti
