MASCULINE CARDS, BRING ON THE CAKE, INSPIRED BY STAMPIN'

Hello everyone! Are you like me and really happy its Friday!!! Yay!! Any plans for the weekend??? We are having a birthday party this weekend for a wonderful friend at our house. There will be twelve of us & the kids running around. It will be lots of fun and its time to roll out the Weber grill for some steak! Yumm! We call my hubby the grill master around here. Smile So, I had to make a masculine card for the birthday boy.

Don’t forget to leave me a comment for my BLOG CANDY! Deadline is Monday, May 23rd Noon EST. I am really looking forward to picking a winner!!! Thank you to all that have left me some lovely comments! You all have made my day & week!

MASCULINE CARDS, BRING ON THE CAKE, INSPIRED BY STAMPIN'

Blueberry Crisp Designer Series Paper, First Edition Specialty DSP & In Color DSP Pack (can you believe the stripes are Pear Pizzazz??!!!) helped create a masculine feel.  I just love sewing on my cards lately and today used a Brown zig zag stitch. A retired Corduroy button ($2.99 in the Clearance Rack, what a deal!!!) and a Whisper White Button was used for the corner. I tied each with a knot from the Early Espresso Baker’s Twine.

“Birthday Wishes” sentiment is from the Bring on the Cake stamp set. Oh, I do hope it makes it in the new catalog! I then used the Spellbinder Nesties Label 4 die for my frame and added two Early Espresso Brads to the corners.

Beautiful Card Jo! And a wonderful BBQ. The Grill Master was at his best and you were both wonderful hosts. Definitely didn’t go home hungry. Thank you for making a special card for my special man. Love you!

    Joanna –
Nice masculine card – they are so hard for me too! Always want to add that bling. I like the sewing – I haven’t tried that yet but I’m feeling inspired!
    Enjoy your BBQ.
