My sister-in-law turned 40 this past weekend. Oh what a blast we had! I wish I could show you pictures but she lost her camera! Bummer! I made this card for her, which she is my dearest friend in the world. It was such an honor to spend it with her, as we live so very far apart. I do want to show you some of the photos of my kids on part of my vacation. It is the first time I have posted photos of them. I often wonder if my readers would be interested or not? So please leave me a comment. I love hearing from you. The photos are of my hubby (Brad) and kids (Tessa, Brayden and Lizzi) fishing and my daughter Tessa caught her first fish. Thanks for stopping by!

Inspired by Stampin’ Tips:

  • The new owl punch is absolutely adorable! It makes the cutest owls ever! I used textured gray card stock for my owls, with a little old olive and rose red for a hint of glam.
  • A quick run through with the Big Shot using the “Little Leaves” Sizzlits Die gave my owls something to sit on.
  • Another wonderful punch was used for the top and bottom of my old olive card stock is the scallop trim border punch.
  • I actually used Stampin’ Dimensionals to lift the card stock above the ribbon. I love how it adds an extra dimension to the card also!
  • I was not so sure about this color combo, gray and rose red. I kept thinking late 80’s early 90’s design?!!! But after putting the colors together, it made a dynamic card!
  • Don’t you just love the new stamp set “Fabulous Phrases”? You can create all sort of phrases that you can imagine with this stamp set.
  • My touch of Glam uses the Gray Satin 5/8” Ribbon and a gorgeous Ribbon Slider.
  • And finally, if you look closely to the Rose Red card stock, you can see that I gently stamped little hearts using the new Confetti Stamp Set.
