For my first card today, I decided to go monochromatic with a touch of pink.

I used the chalkboard technique for this card by cutting out a piece of black cardstock and then white embossing the sentiments. Next, I cut out this fancy frame and adhered the black cardstock behind it.

I stamped these lovely images from our Summer Postcards stamp set. I think they added just the right touches of whimsy. I then added this beautiful pink flower to my card giving it a splash of pink color.

Although this stamp set is called “Chalkboard Birthday”, I thought it would be fun to share this card without using the chalkboard technique. This set is so versatile that it can be also stamped in regular ink for a beautiful sentiment.

For the border along the top of my card, I used our Hexagon Plate. I didn’t need the entire plate, so I trimmed it and then added these hexagon images to it. For my final touches, I added a triple bow, rhinestone and butterfly at the corner.

I had so much fun creating my third card today in nontraditional chalkboard colors. I love how our Everyday Tabs stamp set sits on the side of my card. Plus, an added bonus of our “celebrating you” sentiment that fits inside the tab.

Inspired by Stamping It's Your Birthday

Don’t you just love these flags? They are toothpicks and our Whimsical Banner and It’s Your Birthday sets. I took the banners from this set and folded them in half and stamped on these sentiments from It’s Your Birthday too.

For my chalkboard sentiment, I grabbed different sentiments and elements from this set and white embossed the sentiment. Check out my video on how I emboss on kraft paper, a similar technique as the chalkboard one.

For my last card today, I used this great set and paired it up with our boy digital paper and printables.

These banners are the perfect size for the corner of my card. I added some hemp twine and glued each banner on top. I also added three buttons to the corner and tied each one with twine.

I used the chalkboard technique again for my card with these great sentiments from this set! All the paper that I used is from our new Boy Birthday Bash Digital Pack. I love the colors!

I hope that you enjoyed today’s cards and our featured stamp set!

You always come up with great technique challenges, ladies…we forget about the good old coloured embossing powders we have had for a while, the white still works great. Thanks for your inspiration

These are great! Those toothpick flags are too cute, and you always add such wonderful extra detail and elements to your cards. LOVE the hexagon/bow treatment, and that first card’s color scheme is fabulous. The pop of pink is the perfect finishing touch!

Four fantastic cards! I enjoy using the chalkboard technique but the pink card shows how terrific these stamps look using regular ink. This is a must have set! Thanks for the beautiful inspiration!

gorgeous cards from the lovely ladies on the design team, this is a technique that i’m yet to try, not sure why i keep putting it off but what better reason to give it a whirl. Thanks for all of the inspiration. Hugs xNx
